چکیده
The biological characteristics of hypersensitivity reactions of delayed type are, in general, much the same as are those of many tissue responses known to be mediated by antibodies. For example, the requirement for structural specificity on the par t of agents which evoke delayed allergic reactions seems to be just as exacting as is the case for antigens in classical immunological systems (1). There is, however, increasing evidence that serum antibodies are not required for delayed type reactions (2-4).

A Study of the Distribution of 2,4-dinitrobenzene Sensitizers between Isolated Lymph Node Cells and Extracellular Medium in Relation to Induction of Contact Skin Sensitivity
Although induction of contact skin sensitivity by low molecular weight 2,4-dinitrobenzenes requires the formation in vivo of 2,4-dinitrophenyl-proteins, analogous protein conjugates prepared in vitro are unable to induce this hypersensitive state. Low molecular weight 2,4-dinitrobenzenes are concentrated by isolated lymph node cells, but a representative 2,4-dinitrophenyl-protein conjugate (2,4...
متن کاملQuantitative and Qualitative Determination of Heavy and Toxic Elements in the Fish Grown in Treated Wastewater and Their Comparison with Other Fish
The elements Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn, Cr, Ni, Pb and Cd were determined in the meat and skin of fish by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The fish were grown in treated wastewater, Zayanderood river, and fisheries of Flavarjan and Babolsar. Arsenic and mercury in the samples were analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission Spectroscopy and Cold Vapor AAS, respectively. The concentration of t...
متن کاملQuantitative changes of mast cells following topical application of honey on third degree burns in rats
The purpose of present study was determination of number changes of mast cells in a honey treated experimental model of third degree burn. A third degree burn was made in 24 adult female rats by direct contact of skin with boiling water for 8 seconds. Rats were divided randomly into four groups. Group 1: Burns of this group remained untreated (control group). Groups 2 and 3: Burns of these grou...

متن کاملQualitative and quantitative study of immune cells in various types of cutaneous lichen planus
Background: Lichen planus (LP) is a common inflammatory skin disease. Pathogenesis of LP includes two possible mechanisms; related or unrelated to antigen. Regarding different clinical features of cutaneous and mucosal types of LP, for the first time, we decided to perform a qualitative and quantitative study of immune cells in different types of cutaneous LP and in comparison with normal skin....
